8 Pre-Internet Video Games That Desperately Needed A Patch
3. Soul Calibur 3 - Don't Delete OTHER Games
When it comes to discussing the best fighting games OF ALL TIME, I feel that Soul Calibur often gets left out of the conversations. Yes, Tekken is utterly sublime and Street Fighter 6 might well be my most anticipated game of this year, but do these games let you batter your opponent with a sword the size of a school bus or distract your opponent with impossible jiggle pyshics?
NO, THEY DON'T SO LET'S TALK ABOUT SOUL CALIBUR!
And I tell you what, Soul Calibur III was a rather beautiful beast indeed, refining a tonne of gameplay elements from SC2, offering up brand new characters whilst being unafraid to do away with the old, and even offering a brand new gameplay mode that acted as a psudo-RPG add on! Yet for all of these brilliant additions, there was one rather nasty takeaway for some gamers who found there were being punished for playing anything other than Soul Calibur III.
Confused? Well you definitely would be if you were one of the unlucky souls that went into their PS2 memory card to delete, copy or move ANY OTHER GAME and then went back to SCIII to find your entire progress in Chronicles Of The Sword mode had been deleted as well! Cool! That's fun! To have all your progress in this lengthy mode removed entirely because you decided to spring clean your memory card.
This desperately needed a fix.
