4. Arsenal - Spyro/Skylanders

Call Of Duty Man Utd
Vicarious Visions/Arsenal

Spyro, like Arsenal, was better in the '90s. The likes of Ian Wright and Tony Adams are cult heroes at Arsenal, and this trend continued into the early '00s with the Invincibles era of Henry, Pires and Ljungberg.

As those players moved on though, Arsenal became less Spyro and more Skylanders. Money was pouring in, but the soul had gone. They were content, whether that was with shipping cheap plastic toys or chugging along in fourth.

It’s difficult to look at a front line led by the likes of Adebayor, Aliadiere, Bendtner and Welbeck and not wonder how it all went so wrong. They were laughing stocks. Now though, Unai Emery has walked through the doors and promised to change everything. The start has been less than stellar, but they seem to be finding their feet. Like the Spyro remaster soon to be released, is Emery the spark Arsenal need to reignite?
