8 Reasons The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Should Be Bethesda's Next Remaster

1. The Dark Brotherhood

It is damn near impossible to say that there Is a better questline in each instalment of the Elder Scrolls than the Dark Brotherhood. Taking on the role of a sneaky assassin is one of the true joys of the games and the quests entailed are some of the most interesting ones to find, often breaking up the monotony of endless dungeons with an entertaining and often hilarious assassination. They are just pure, cathartic fun.

And to that end, Elder Scrolls: Oblivion had the best of the best. With some of the most unique and interesting quests, each with their own twist, often having extra challenges, the Oblivion Dark Brotherhood was brilliant. From the first few quests you get to sneak aboard pirate ships and hunt down elusive old men in the wilds all in the name of good old fashioned gold.

Its arguable that that questline alone is worth a remake, as it has some genuinely brilliant moments. Hiding within a house as patrons search for a hidden chest of gold, all the while you are picking them off one by one. Returning to the starting cell to kill the dark elf across the hall who insulted you, or hunting down the bane of the Dark Brotherhood - or when you massacre the entire brotherhood in the name of 'cleansing'.

Just some brilliant quests; ones that make Oblivion worthy of a remaster all on their own.
