8 Ridiculous Video Game Plotholes We Love Anyway
5. How Can Mirror Face Change His Face? - Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Impressively one-upping Yakuza 4's infamous rubber bullet fiasco as the dumbest, most credibility-straining thing in the Yakuza franchise - and that's really saying something - we have the Mirror Face nonsense from Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
Mirror Face is an assassin introduced later in the game who possesses the mysterious ability to shapeshift and perfectly assume the identity of anyone he so wishes, right down to their voice and muscle mass.
Now to be clear, this franchise has always had an innate silliness about it, though there's also been a consistency to that absurdity, and the more out-there stuff is usually confined to substories which are of dubious canonicity.
Yet introducing a guy in the main story who can inexplicably assume the full form of anyone he wants, through techniques unknown, was seen as a bridge too wild by many fans.
But personality also goes a long way. Yes, Mirror Face is deeply stupid, but unless you're taking the Yakuza series' story dead-seriously at face value - which, let's be honest, you really shouldn't be - it's easy to cackle with glee at how little sense this twist makes.
