8 Ways Infinite Warfare Is The Beginning Of The End For Call Of Duty

5. It Can't Be Marketed Effectively

Infinite Warfare isn't the most out-of-nowhere left-turn for the franchise, considering how Black Ops 2, Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3 somewhat laid the groundwork beforehand, but when you look at the biggest takeaways (the spaceships, introduction of laser weapons, dogfighting etc.) it just doesn't 'feel' like Call of Duty anymore - especially in the trailers.

The fact IW comes bundled with the remaster of Modern Warfare is another problematic element, being that the contrast only highlights how much the former doesn't look like a natural evolution of its fourth instalment.

Tons of gamers came away from the trailer saying it just looked too much like 'Call of Duty: Halo', and being the two are diametrically opposed when it comes to dedicating yourself to a given first-person shooter, melding them just isn't good business.
