8 Ways Video Games Make No Sense (And We Don't Care)

6. Kratos Vs. Doors - God of War

God of War's Kratos is one of the most badass video game characters of all time - a literal god who uses his immense strength and endurance to pull off superhero-tier feats, like taking down massive bosses many times his own size, often with his bare hands.

And yet the guy can't just smash through a door like the Juggernaut.

Yes, it's deeply funny that the God of War games will force Kratos to seek out keys, levers, and other mortal nonsense to open relatively flimsy-looking wooden doors despite him being one of the swolest entities who has ever lived.

That a little wood can stop Kratos from doing his thing is probably the silliest thing in the entire franchise, especially as the developers could've easily explained this away by having said doors be magically enchanted or something.

It's of course a totally intentional design choice on the part of the developers, but also an overwhelmingly game-y one that underlines a disconnect between how Kratos is presented and how he plays.
