8 Weirdest Video Game Boss Battles Of All Time!

Now it might seem like a bit of a stretch to put ALL of the bosses of God Hand into just one entry, but trust me if you've ever played this glorious, uproarious, and quite frankly ludicrous title, then you understand the difficulty I had in just picking one of these over the top villains to take the slot.

From fighting a Gorilla in a Luchadore Mask, to a chainsmoking meat blimp called Elvis, and an entire gang of Tesco-brand Power Rangers, God Hand laughs at the concept of weird before pulling back its cloak a la Merchant from Resi 4 style and showing you its very questionable wares. There was rarely a boss encounter in the game that didn't leave the player base reeling at what they'd just witnessed, and because the dialogue was written by what I can only assume were aliens who only had an extensive porn library as their only means of human communication, the cutscenes that bookend the beatdowns are so liberally sprinkled with oddities that it resembles a golden shower.

And yet. AND YET. Things only get weirder when you actually take part in the fights themselves, as you'll go up against bosses that use the power of love as a weapon, who let you spank them or just kick them square in the balls over and over, all the while moaning like a ghost who stubbed its toe.

It is, in short, a f*ckin' wild ride.
