8 Weirdest Video Game Boss Battles Of All Time!

Ok, so when your video game is based on an IP where the central character is a worm piloting a spacesuit which gives him impossible strength and stamina and sees him fighting against characters called Queen Slug-for-a-butt and Professor Monkey For A Head, then you know that things are already going to be set on a baseline of weird far above other titles.

And yet, it somehow gets even weirder when it comes time to do battle with Bob The Killer Goldfish in Earthworm Jim 2, partly because yes as the name suggests, he is indeed just a random pissed off goldfish in a bowl, but also because the fight with him is over before you know it!

As Bob shoots daggers at our boy Jim, the protective cage around his bowl opens up, and a slick musical score signals the start of what must be an epic encounter, hell they even rip off the Mortal Kombat round intro by having the word "Fight" appear on the screen. It is hype time and I am all on board baby!

And just like that, it's over, as Jimmy walks over to Bob, plucks him from the bowl, and eats him whole, ending the battle and the level in a single motion.

Oh, ok then. To be fair we probably should have expected this seeing as the first game let you just waltz up and knock his bowl over defeating him in an equally hilariously deflating manner. Kinda feel sorry for the poor bastard.
