9 Biggest Horrible Gaming-Related Things Of 2021
8. Cyberpunk's Next-Gen Versions Pushed into 2022
Let's face it, Cyberpunk wasn't ready for its full release in 2021. In fact, the game probably should have been pushed back for at least another year, and development should have shifted away from last-gen consoles entirely because they simply weren't up to the task of running it.
For those who really wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 in the best way, 2021 was to be the year when the game finally got redeemed. CD Projekt Red promised a next-generation patch would be launching this year, and the hype around Cyberpunk being finally able to deliver on its vision started rising once again.
Alas, it wasn't to be. In true Cyberpunk fashion, the next-gen patches just weren't ready for release, and we received the sad news that they'd been pushed back into 2022 as a result.
We're really hoping that when they finally do come around they'll be worth the wait; Cyberpunk is a great game hiding under a mire of controversy and its bad release, and hopefully they can turn things around when these new versions come out and - fingers crossed - stabilise the game.
