9 Cancelled Superhero Video Games That Would've Made Millions
7. Daredevil: The Man Without Fear
Speaking of projects that desperately need to be picked up and finished, the world still waits on a Daredevil game, despite the Netflix TV show being the best thing Marvel's done in years.
The version of Daredevil that was in the works came from no-name devs 5000ft who, like THQ, met an early thanks to being strangled by their own purse strings. When publisher Encore shut down the project, they ended up losing $4.3 million in development costs that had already gone into creating what looked like an open-world experience, similar to Spider-Man 2.
Gamespot's retrieved footage above looks extremely... primitive, to say the least, but it did look like you'd have a blast jumping and swinging around the city as Daredevil regardless. Electra and Bullseye were also shown as a playable characters, but the best part is seeing the world through Daredevil's eyes to spot threats, counter them and gain the upper hand in any scenario.
Rocksteady are rumoured to be picking up another superhero franchise now that Arkham Knight rounded out their work with DC, and can you imagine if they picked up the Daredevil license next? Bring that on.
