6. Untitled EA Marvel Fighting Game

If you think really hard, you'll remember EA's Def Jam-style spin-off Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects. The ambitious 2005 fighting game was very much in the style of the Def Jam's wrestling/brawling engine, but with the added bonus of Marvel's finest backing every blow. EA created a host of their own original fighters too, but thanks to an imbalanced roster and a ton of ridiculous animations making every fight a mad scramble rather than anything fun or tactical, it didn't take off.

Enter this untitled fighting game, another from EA in a very similar mould, but this time barely making it out the gate. Youtube channel PtoP uncovered the above footage which shows Hulk and Captain America throwing down, and the gameplay looks almost identical to any of the Dragon Ball Z games.

It was clearly in the early stages as the camera keeps getting snagged on the world geometry, but at least both fighters could interact with various parts of the scenery to smash into each other or slam right through to the other side. It's a very cool - admittedly fairly shallow - concept, but one that would suit fans of all ages who enjoy pitting their favourite heroes against each other and watching the fireworks.
