Guilty Gear is an insanely complex game within the fighting genre, but all you really need to know is there are an abundance of cyborgs battling humans to the death. It's awesome. Of all the crazy characters and half-robot participants in this game, though, one stands head-and-shoulders above the rest as the ultimate weirdo: Dr. Baldhead.

In his past, Baldhead M.D. was a truly gifted surgeon - perhaps the greatest the world had ever seen. But he gave up his profession and swiftly turned into all kinds of crazy when a little girl mysteriously died on his operating table.

Baldhead snapped, transforming almost instantaneously into a violent, rampaging murderer. Eventually, however, he sees a vision or hallucination of that little girl forgiving him for her death, assuring him it wasn't his fault. This does not comfort him. This sends him even further into madness, disappearing into the night... and into a wholly different personality.

When Baldhead returns to the public eye, he does so as a mysterious healer known as "Faust." He wears a paper bag over his head so that people won't be able to see his true identity. This, ladies and gentlemen, used to be one of the finest minds in the world.

While sinking into this new identity, he discovers that the little girl's death was all a set-up by a shady organisation who wanted to turn Baldhead into a walking bag of insanity because it benefitted them... somehow. It's all part of a very messy conspiracy, one that ultimately doesn't matter for our purposes. All you need to know is that the next Einstein basically had his brain turned to mush and decided the best way to keep his identity a secret was with a big knapsack.
