9 Franchise Revivals That Could Save The Xbox One
3. Crimson Skies
What conversation about underrated games doesn't mentioning how damn good Crimson Skies was?
The flight-based action adventure was an instant smash hit with both fans and critics upon release, its superb flying mechanics as well as its alternate history lore making it a title destined to grace the walls of cult stardom. However, after dropping a sequel the franchise simply vanished, an issue that Microsoft should remedy if they don't want to lose a potential gem.
Games like Crimson Skies are unfortunately a dying breed of exclusive, and it's for this reason that Xbox's use of such an individual title provides content that no other platform can offer. The interesting premise and fresh approach to flight-based gameplay demonstrated that Xbox was committed to pushing the boundaries, and doing this again in 2018 would prove they still have what it takes to strive for genre innovation.
With rumours stating Microsoft are considering bringing Crimson Skies back to our screens, we may be seeing a sequel to the cult hit sooner than we ever expected. If plans fall through however, it could be yet another reason for fans to jump ship from a console that refuses to acknowledge their reasonable demands as players.
