9. Dante's Albino Wig/Hair Colour In The Devil May Cry Reboot

It's the little things, y'know? Sometimes all it takes is one annoying imperfection to be the first thing fans notice, and then that's all they talk about. In DmC's case, alongside the fact developers Ninja Theory were going up against some mighty high expectations as Devil May Cry 3 was outstanding, once we took a look at Dante's new do, it was only downhill from there.

Yes, for as much as you could argue that there was more to Dante's charm than just some albino lockes, the devs made it infinitely worse by including an in-game joke that literally referenced the controversy and insulted the fans even more.

Dante is caught amidst the debris of a half-exploded theme park (don't ask), and a white wig happens to land on his brunette head. He takes one look in a nearby mirror, fashions it for a second - in a way that made us think Ninja Theory were actually going to do a cool nod to the fanbase - only to then say, "Never in a million years".
