9 Video Games Coming In 2018 You've Already Forgotten About
3. The Last Night
As is often the case with E3's content-stuffed headlining conferences, there's never enough time to give every reveal its deserved time in the limelight.
Odd Tales' The Last Night, an Xbox console exclusive (hoorah!), had less than two minutes to leave a lasting impression on this year's audiences, not nearly enough time to prevent its slipping from memory as a major talking point. The Xbox One X's attention-hogging unveiling saw to that.
Thankfully, though, the internet exists, so there's no excuse for Tim Soret's pixellated beauty to go unnoticed. Feast your eyes on this.
Drenched in a gorgeous cyberpunk aesthetic that would make Blade Runner's set designers weep tears of envy: if The Last Night's core platforming gameplay meets the same level of quality as its visuals, there's no way it won't be headed for a clean sweep at next year's IGF Awards.
Keep tabs on this one, we could be looking at another Cuphead.
