AEW: Fight Forever - 10 Things You MUST Do First

3. The Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch

Admit it, this is probably where you're really going first.

The 'Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch' is zany fun, and it's the only real out there gimmick bout AEW's game has to offer right now. On the plus side, it's totally different to anything you'll get over on 2K's side, and that includes WWE staples like War Games or Hell In A Cell.

Above, you'll see Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley in a crumpled, bloody heap on the canvas. That screen came after just a few minutes of explosions and crashing one another into barbed wire boards (which then set off more pyrotechnics). It was actually a better match than the pair had back at Revolution 2021.

Only kidding.

On that note, AEW decided to poke fun at themselves here. There's a self-deprecating Easter egg for this match type that lets you relive the embarrassing sparklers from that pay-per-view. Bonus points to Tony Khan for letting Yuke's and THQ rip the p*ss.
