Anthem: 10 Things Bioware Must Deliver

3. An Endgame

World Of Warcraft
Blizzard

A compelling end game is a mercurial concept, tricky to create and trickier to maintain. World of Warcraft kept players logging on for years with its wealth of final-level content, and regular updates with more. Destiny transformed its fortunes with end game content patches that introduced a completely new larger-scale raiding element to the game.

If Anthem is to become more than a one-shot campaign and really make the most of its apparent team focus, it needs a way to keep those teams of players signing in together. Compelling endgame content, not just incrementally more difficult but also building on the game’s narrative and providing some of the answers story-loving players crave, will help keep gamers playing and turn Anthem into a full-on franchise.

It might even expand into team scenarios beyond what the teaser has shown, with larger groups of players taking on bigger and more complex challenges.
