Apex Legends: 10 Best Weapons - Ranked

1. M600 Spitfire

Apex Legends best weapons Wingman
EA

The M600 Spitfire is one of two LMGs in the game, and the difference between them both is night and day.

The Devotion is just frustrating to use, mainly because it requires spinning-up before you can fire, meaning that the enemy has more time to run behind cover. This problem can be negated with the Turbocharger attachment, but there's no guarantee you'll find one. The gun's ammo depletes insanely quickly too, and since energy rounds are difficult to come by, you might end up with no bullets when you need them the most.

But the Spitfire is just a beast. As already mentioned, enemies take a long time to go down in Apex Legends, to its massive magazine size allows you to keep on firing, and keep on firing, and keep on firing, until they're dead. Recoil is extremely easy to control, and it does more damage per shot than any assault rifle or SMG, so it's quite easy to keep your aim on a target and rip them to pieces in seconds.

With a base magazine size of 35 and a max of 65, you can go a long, long time without reloading, which means you can shoot an enemy, chase them, and carry on shooting, all without getting stuck in a reload animation. And in a fast-moving game like this, that's an invaluable ability.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
