BAFTA Games 2013: Overview Of The Night's Events And Winners

Best Game

Bafta The award that the event has been leading up to, the best game is one of the nights most prestigious awards. Presented by now BAFTA award winning actor, Danny Wallace. Each of these games have already been nominated previously, but most have lost out to Journey. As the audience await, the favourites seem to be Far Cry 3 and Mass Effect 3. The Nominations Far Cry 3 Fifa 13 Dishonored Journey Mass Effect 3 The Walking Dead Winner Dishonored Personally, somewhat surprising. No doubt a great game, but pitted against so many others which without a doubt all deserve to be there, because of this I'm not sure if I'd be entirely convinced if there should be one outright winner. Dishonored is a game set in a steampunk London, ran under the tyranny of an emperor after you are cast out and imprisoned for the murder of the beloved empress which you were framed for. You have to clear your name and bring an end to the evil dictatorship, whilst putting the rightful heir back on the throne. The game mixes elements of stealth and action, as it offers you an abundance of ways to get the job done and to clear off any enemies in your path. Receiving the award is the Dishonored's designer Viktor Antonov, who apologises to the British audience for the Americanised spelling.
