9. A Brand New Gotham City
Across each Arkham game, Rocksteady has gradually created a larger and larger map, with Arkham Knight containing a huge section of Gotham itself. With a Batman Beyond game, Rocksteady will be able to create their most ambitious map yet.
Not only would the map likely consist of Gotham City in its entirety, but the 2039 setting would also make it a Gotham, unlike anything the gaming world has ever seen before. Gotham landmarks will have completely changed, such as Wayne Enterprises being replaced by Wayne-Powers. Meanwhile, iconic locations such as the Iceberg Lounge can be given a makeover in a new time period - something we know Rocksteady are capable of, being they've adapted the Lounge before in Arkham City.
The original series created a timeless blend of sci-fi and the classic gothic. If the Arkham franchise were able to replicate this visual style, it would surely be a recipe for success. Based on some of the designs in Arkham Knight, particularly the new Batsuit and Batmobile, they are already halfway there.
