Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Huge Things We Learned At E3
2. Batman Is Getting Seriously Tooled Up
One of the hallmarks of the Arkham games and their character designs have been grounding the Batman mythos a little more in reality. Sure, there's still a guy with two faces and an insane clown is the biggest criminal in a major US city, but the sensibilities when it came to how these larger-than-life characters looks have been fairly gritty and as close to the real world as possible. With the advanced graphics technology the PS4 (and Xbox One) offer, Rocksteady look to be going the whole hog with making both the environments and the characters in them more realistic than ever. Also though, it looks like Batman is tooling up because he's facing one of the biggest challenges of his life. The Penguin perhaps wasn't exaggerating when he said this could be the Dark Knight's end, since the hero himself is taking this new threat much more seriously. The opening shots of the trailer see him clad in a new, high-tech and futuristic looking costume that's more like a suit of armour than the spandex-and-tights configuration of the comics. We can't wait to see what enemies Batman is going to be tangling with that he needs this much protection, but also what wonderful new toys he has in store for his fight against crime. Fingers crossed for Bat Shark-Repellent this time.
