Batman Arkham Knight: 10 Rumours You Need To Know

10. A Totally Next Generation Experience

RocksteadyRocksteadyBatman Arkham Knight is the first in the entire Batman Arkham series and current cycle of Batman or DC related games to be completely and utterly exclusive to the next generation consoles, the Xbox One and the PlayStation Four. Microsoft's latest heavyweight has been having a difficult time getting off the ground in the last few months, with even Wii U sales accelerating past the sales of Xbox One as Nintendo's console really hits its stride. Sony's contender the PlayStation Four has been having a slightly easier time of it, but similarly the sales figures released by Sony haven't been the triumphant achievement they were hoping for in the western market. Perhaps the reason for the slow uptake on the latest generation of excellent hardware from all three gaming titans has been the extreme lack of exclusive titles to drive sales through the roof. It seems that trend is about to end, with a tentative release window of Q2 or Q3 2015, Batman Arkham Knight is changing the playing field by steering away from Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 3 all together. Whether releasing solely on PlayStation Four and Xbox One will hurt or help Batman Arkham Knights sales is up for debate, but the move will certainly help Microsoft and Sony get their ailing flagships back on track. Of course, you could always just buy Batman Arkham Knight on PC?
