9. Who Is The Titular Arkham Knight?
RocksteadyThe question on everyones lips as soon as the subject of Batman Arkham Knight arises is, "who is the Arkham Knight? Isn't that Batman?" Well, theories abound, they are abundant and they are clogging up the internet everywhere you turn your cowled head. The very real answer is that we are unlikely to be able to answer this question satisfactorily until about thirty five minutes after the game is released, and the speed runners of the world reach the end and post it to Neogaf. Until then, there are some strange contenders who may fit the description of an "armoured man in black, leaping across rooftops, wearing a helmet with stylised bat ears... No, not that one. This one is new!" If you are of a curious mind and wish to delve into that deep, deep rabbit hole we will not stop you. But here we will only discuss the most likely candidate, Hush. If you will remember from Arkham City (also by Rocksteady Studios), there were a series of side quests that ended in Hush (Tommy Elliott) having extensive plastic surgery to reconstruct his face exactly as Bruce Wayne. It is only a natural progression of story that Hush would attempt to complete his transformation into becoming the big bad bat, complete with his own belt of gadgets and batsuit. Obviously, the other strong contenders are Nightwing, Robin or one of the Robins Batman lost along the way, but they have neither the background set up that Rocksteady are so fond of, nor the suitability. In any case, our money is on Tommy Elliott.
