Batman: Arkham - Ranking The 10 Greatest Villains So Far
4. The Scarecrow
Scarecrow's scenes in Arkham Asylum strike a perfect creepy note. Batman's interactions with him are masterfully crafted, as his exposure to fear toxin gives novice fans Bruce Wayne's back story and motivation for becoming Batman. The part where Batman believes he finds his parents in body bags is particularly chilling. His boss fights in Arkham Asylum are visually and psychologically stunning, taking place in a toxin-induced dream scape. Crane seemingly meets his fate when he is dragged underwater by fellow rogue Killer Croc, but as he's returning in Knight - that's not the end of his tale. Scarecrow's presence in Arkham City is minimal, but very effective too, with a hidden radio broadcast Easter Egg foreshadowing his major comeback in the upcoming release.
