As the face of DC Comics, Batman is pretty much everywhere. No medium can escape his grasp, whether that be comics, TV, film, or of course, video games.

The fact that the character is getting even more time then, is bound to upset a fair few people. Regardless of whether or not you think Bruce Wayne is as overrated as superheroes can get, you have to admit that his presence in this particular medium is starting to irritate.

Obviously we're all greatly indebted to Rocksteady for resurrecting the superhero gaming genre, but why should this success be limited to the caped crusader?

After all, quality is not nor ever will be inextricably linked with the Dark Knight, and DC have an amazingly diverse catalogue of characters that are just begging to be adapted. Simply pushing Batman even further into the spotlight isn't just going to lead to fatigue, but frustration at the sheer fact that DC are so engulfed in Bat-mania. Return won't be the straw that breaks the camels back, though it must be said that its existence is symptomatic of the company's inability to diversify their brand.
