Battlefield 3: 10 Reasons Why We Are Still Playing

1. It's Battlefield

I mean, what other reason do you need? Battlefield 3 is one of the most unique games in the genre. The vehicles, the destruction, the team work. Although some other games have these elements, none quite put them all together quite like Battlefield. This is why Battlefield Moments exist, and the series is only gaining momentum. Battlefield 3 set a new record for the series, selling a whopping 15 million copies to date. It's so good to see the series getting the recognition is deserves, and although other shooters like COD and Killzone certainly have their own strengths and audience, none do it quite like Battlefield. DICE say their focus on BF3 was the 5 pillars of Frostbite 2: scale, animation, rendering, audio and destruction, and Battlefield 3 nails every one of them. Okay, maybe not destruction, but it's still good. I mean, god, how good is Battlefield 3? Many say that Bad Company 2 is better, and while I agree in some aspects, BF3 just feels better. The control is sharper, it looks better and sounds cleaner, the game is just so damn comfortable to play. And the action is so good, once you start a killing frenzy you just feel powerful. Battlefield is just so much fun, and while BF3 does have it's issues, and haters, it's still a damn fine game. Really, if it isn't, then why are so many people still playing it? So that's just 10 reason we're still playing Battlefield 3. Love it or hate it, the series will still go on for a while yet, with DICE having already announced Battlefield 4. What do you think of the game? Are you still playing it? Discuss below.

I live in Australia, love to write and play games. So what better than writing about games? I love all things action and fantasy, as well as my occasional shooter. I literally cannot wait for GTAV!
