Before GTA V: 10 Greatest Side Characters in GTA History

2. Catalina

Having featured heavily in both GAT III as a main antagonist and San Andreas as a tertiary character, Catalina is in fact the only female antagonist in the entire history of the GTA series to date, which is a pretty huge accolade in itself. For this reason, she€™s perhaps the most memorable right off the bat. Then, factor in the fact that despite dying in the finale of GTA III, she appears again in its prequel San Andreas (looking more like J-Lo than ever before), and you've got yourself an extremely important player in the GTA mythos. Catalina is wild, extremely aggressive and bordering on psychotic thanks to a severe persecution complex brought on from fatherly neglect and abuse (which is revealed sporadically throughout San Andreas). Sure, she€™s probably an extreme racial stereotype, but she€™s also pure GTA; she€™s unhinged, violent, unpredictable and over her insane arc, in the end, you can clearly see why Claude has to put her down once and for all. She might be pushing daisies in the current present day GTA continuity but that doesn€™t make her any less memorable to the grand scheme of the franchise.
