Multi-Player
After a fairly underwhelming multiplayer offering in the last Medal of Honour game, Danger Close really had a lot to prove with Warfighter, but the only thing they have done is resolutely fail. If it's not the terrible map design, then it's the dull nature of the objective-based play, which is made even more irritating by the community, who exploit the poorly thought-out map design to spawn camp as much as possible. Also, weapons have clearly been powered-down from the single player game, meaning that it'll take a lot longer to kill any opponents, which is totally out of step with the realism that the developers apparently intended. Black Ops 2 traces along familiar lines, but is still an extremely entertaining offering, largely because of the map selection - Nuketown 2025 is gloriously mental - and additions like Pick 10, which allows players to pick any 10 attributes of their loadout. Basically, Treyarch are encouraging freedom to customise as much as possible, meaning it's likely that few players will have exactly the same kit. Also, greater importance has been placed on the long game this time, with Treyarch offering incentives to keep players going beyond first Prestige (namely being able to keep some of their attributes). Hands down, this goes to the tried and tested Call of Duty. WINNER: Black Ops 2
