6. Let Us Play With Friends
Multiplayer is one of the more divisive features of this series. Typically, players either love the added challenge of besting invaders and the option to aid others, or quickly become fed up with randomly being put on the receiving end of a backstab. There's very little middle ground with its reception, but one thing both sides agree on is that playing Souls with friends needs to be, well, doable. As it stands, creative summon sign placement and prayers to the server gods are your only ways of joining a friend's game, which is a coin flip at best. Technological hurdles aside, it isn't a terribly difficult idea. Helping a friend through a difficult portion is perfectly in line with the Souls mentalitythe ethereal connections between worldsand would do wonders for the social aspects of the game. Set a would-be Soapstone aside for it (because who knows what will trigger multiplayer this time around), queue up a friends list or simply add in a PSN invitewhatever the means, Bloodborne could use a party feature.
