Bloodborne REMASTER: 7 Things It Must Improve
6. Respec
One of the player bases' biggest pet peeves in Bloodborne is lack of a respec option. It would make sense that you can re-allocate your Blood Echoes once you realise how you prefer to play and have settled into a certain playstyle, especially considering how you can carry your character over into a New Game + scenario.
This is particularly egregious when some weapons are blocked when specific stats are too low, e.g Evelyn, regarded as one of the more powerful firearms, requires 18 Bloodtinge. Some of these stats don't even come into play until late game like Arcane.
Arcane is essentially the magic stat, related to the 12 spells you can find in the game. The first one that is obtainable comes in at around the 3/4 hour mark, or half way through. This means that the majority of first time players ignored the Arcane stat for at least half of the campaign.
When they got magical items that they did want to use, they simply didn't have the Blood Echoes to do it. Adding in an option to respec would make it far easier to build your character in the way you want to.
