Borderlands 3: Everything We Know So Far
Get ready to lock, load, and loot!
After a long, seven-year wait, Borderlands 3 is finally here. Announced in a pitch-perfect reveal trailer in late March, Gearbox followed that tease swiftly up with yet another gameplay-centric trailer in early April, and the promise of an even bigger blowout come May 1st.
The footage shown off so far looks pretty amazing as well. Despite fears that the sequel might have missed its window, and felt a little bit dated in an era that has embraced a whole host of different loot shooters, the trailers have confidently asserted that Gearbox's seminal series is still the king of the genre. Not only that, it's clear the developers aren't merely resting on their laurels, but attempting to make up for lost time and deliver the biggest and best Borderlands game yet.
And with the team showing off so much straight out of the gate, fans are starting to get a pretty good handle on how the title is shaping up. Considering it's only been official for a couple of weeks (despite being the gaming industry's worst-kept secret for years), there's plenty of information out there about which new features the hotly-anticipated sequel is bringing to the franchise, and which returning staples fans can expect to see.
