Call Of Duty 2019: 11 New Leaks & Rumours You Need To Know

1. It Might Release On Next-Gen Consoles

One of the more perplexing rumours stems from the fact that job listings at Infinity Ward over the past year have described the project they're hiring for as being a "next-gen" experience. Obviously, we know they're absolutely locked into release a Call of Duty game this year, so does that mean new consoles from Microsoft and Sony will be dropping around the same time?

It seems a little far-fetched, but the listings posted last year would seemingly indicate they were for 2019's project. On the other hand, they could have been advertising positions to immediately begin work on another sequel once this year's title ships, but you probably wouldn't expect that kind of extensive hiring to be conducted this early on in pre-production (and that's assuming pre-production has even begun).

It's up in the air at the moment, but it does seem to indicate Activision and Infinity Ward are already gearing up for the future.
