Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 - 10 Past Game-Breaking Issues That Must Be Fixed
6. Hacking
Hacking has been less of a problem with more recent games opposed to older ones, but it still crops up every now and again. Hackers are rampant on older COD games and often times show up during the early life-cycle of newer games too. It’s a given that no one wants to play with a cheater, and Call of Duty has suffered greatly from hackers and cheaters for a long time. Hackers were so bad when Ghosts was new, Activison even went as far as to accidentally ban some accounts that had played in lobbies with hackers assuming they were cheating.
Modern Warfare 3 suffered from a particularly cruel hack. Hackers would send an inconspicuous invite to a private lobby, where when you joined they could de-rank your account. To players who spend lots of time ranking up and earning difficult unlocks, this was brutal.
Solution: The game series should introduce better anti-hacking software. The game engine and code should be changed more as well, so that hackers can’t take advantage of it so quickly when new instalments are released.
