Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 - 10 Past Game-Breaking Issues That Must Be Fixed
7. Tools That Encourage Camping
Another topic of much frustration among gamers: Campers. The folks who patiently wait in one area throughout an entire match, sometimes proving very difficult to kill. It’s a valid tactic, but the game series shouldn’t do these folks any favours with tactical equipment that provides them an impenetrable fortress. It requires very little skill and if you have teammates helping the camper, it becomes even more frustrating.
Modern Warfare 3 provided some interesting and sometimes very frustrating examples of this. The portable radar would allow players to throw and pick up a small device that revealed players within it’s ping radius. There was also a gun attachment called the heartbeat sensor, which worked in a similar way, only it was permanently affixed to your primary weapon.
Black Ops 2 was the first game allowing you to plant a ballistic shield. Aside from the obvious head-glitching potential, these could even be used to block door ways off. Couple with a trophy system, perhaps some claymores and your castle is completely secure.
Solution: Each game should feature fewer plantable/stationary tactical items.
