Call Of Duty Modern Warfare: 10 Iconic Maps That NEED To Return
5. Wet Work
Where comparisons can be drawn between many other maps in terms of their style, Wet Work is certainly one of the most unique maps Infinity Ward has ever produced.
Ripped straight from the opening campaign mission from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Wet Work is set aboard a freighter navigating its way through a storm in the Pacific.
The downpour is relentless as this long-but-narrow map has you attempt to navigate cargo and containers en route to facing the enemy team.
Long-ranged fighting can be achieved via the crew quarters and corridors located at opposite ends of the ship or on the platforms located part-way up.
Whilst you can charge straight through the middle, this is an almost guaranteed death sentence, so flanking your way around the edges is preferred, though your opposition is likely thinking the same thing.
This particularly dark map could work extremely well with Modern Warfare's NVG mode, and small elements of verticality along either side mixed with tight corners created by sporadically-placed containers keeps the gameplay exhilarating.
