Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare - 10 Ways Multiplayer Is COMPLETELY Different

7. Vehicles Are More Dangerous Than Ever

Slowly but surely, over the past couple of years Call of Duty has attempted to implement drivable vehicles such as tanks into regular multiplayer maps, to varying degrees of success. These behemoths were actually the highlight of WW2's War mode, acting as powerful focal points of the action, and imbuing matches with a sense of dynamism that COD had otherwise lacked.

In those cases though, the tanks were often on rails and couldn't be freely piloted, something which isn't the case in Modern Warfare. Though you won't simply be able to jump in vehicles lying around the environment like you can in Battlefield, additions to your arsenal such as tanks can now be called in via killstreaks, and will stay around until they're destroyed.

You can freely pilot these war machines around maps as you see fit, and another person can even jump in the gunner seat. Though they're killstreaks, they can still become a point of attrition in matches, as enemies can steal them if the driver has exited the vehicle.

It's probably not going to become a game all about tank warfare, but having to account for these extra hostiles will shake up how you approach each match, and give you a hefty chunk of XP if you manage to take one down with everyone inside.
