Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare - 10 Ways Multiplayer Is COMPLETELY Different
6. Each Gun Has Its Own Unique Recoil And Stats
While Call of Duty has always had its signature weapons - whether it was COD4's M4 Carbine, Black Ops' AK-74U or MW2's akimbo shotguns - there are just as many that have been forgotten to the annals of time. That's because, while they're obviously differentiated by their damage output and rate of fire, there's only a handful of differences between them, and once you've found a favourite gun, there's no real reason to switch things up.
This is something Infinity Ward have made a point about changing with Modern Warfare, and now each individual weapon has their own distinct stats as well as unique recoil patterns that must be learned. In theory, this should mean that one gun doesn't dominate the battlefield thanks to its laser accuracy, and instead players will have a learning curve as they come to understand the intricacies of each weapon.
It sounds simple, but in the past the games have mostly worked on a visual recoil system, and this should serve to increase the skill-gap between players, and nullify those relying heavily on spray-and-pray tactics.
