Call Of Duty: Ranking Every Game Mode From Worst To Best
6. Kill Confirmed
Love it or hate it, camping is part and parcel of any Team Deathmatch, as there will always be players who choose to set up shop in an easily defendable location and wait for opponents to come to them rather than blindly charge around looking for them.
Kill Confirmed was first introduced in Modern Warfare 3 in an attempt to create a variant where the tactic wasn't so prevalent, forcing players to physically make contact with the bodies of their victims to contribute towards the games score. This attempt has been a relatively successful one, as the mode has appeared in every subsequent game since. Some swear by it and prefer it to Team Deathmatch, others despise it by comparison.
Others still actually seem to forget that they are playing it, as there are frequently one or two players with impressive kill to death ratios but zero or minimal confirms, even though the bonus score offered by confirms and denies actually makes it easier to reach scorestreaks (which usually result in more kills).
Given that blindly rushing at tags that are marked on their mini-map is quite instinctive, camping is ironically one of the easiest ways to pick people off, somewhat negating the mode's purpose. Despite this, the mode is dominated by close quarters gunplay and is quick and frantic as a result, perfect for a few quick games.
