Casting The Perfect Red Dead Redemption Film

3. Jason Clarke As Bill Williamson

Ian McShane Red Dead Redemption
Penthouse/20th Century Fox

Jason Clarke has had a decent run as an actor in television, but it’s his recent success in films that has seen his career reach new heights.

Clarke has appeared in both starring and supporting roles in Lawless, Zero Dark Thirty, The Great Gatsby, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, Terminator Genisys, First Man and Pet Sematary, all while earning great praise from fans and critics. His rugged appearance and gritty appearance, combined with his exceptional acting, would make him the best choice to play the loud and proud Bill Williamson.

After his dishonourable discharge from the US Army, Bill ended up becoming an alcoholic and robbing people on the highways. He would eventually join the Van Der Linde Gang as a gunman and was especially loyal to Dutch, even while he was slowly descending into madness. But after the gang broke up, Bill was forced to fend for himself, which led to him developing a much darker personality.

Jason would be the ideal choice to play a broken and enraged Bill Williamson, who forms his own gang and terrorises the people of the American Frontier with arson, kidnapping and murder.
