Catherine: Full Body Review

Catherine Full Body Rin
Atlus

By far the addition of a third potential love interest is the most substantial part of the Full Body package with Rin adding a wealth of new dialogue options and at least a few hours of anime cutscenes alongside with the in-game ones.

Rin also plays a very different part in the overall mixed up web that Vincent has gotten himself into, as well as fitting in almost perfectly between Catherine with a ‘C’ and Katherine with a ‘K’. Although at certain points within the narrative she can feel less grounded, even though she has literally taken up residence next to Vincent and now works in the Stray Sheep.

Not only that, but for a least during certain playthrough, Rin seems to almost overshadow Katherine leaving her to play third fiddle whilst Catherine is also showing up at the Star Sheep, and sometimes Vincent’s bed, night after night. Now sure every playthrough is sure to take a different path, but not getting to interact with Katherine as much as Rin or Catherine makes her feel less important to the entire narrative at times.

That being said, it is hard to imagine the story of Catherine now without the addition of Rin also. Rin has become a large part of the story and shows that for the most part, love doesn’t have to be a clear cut decision and so many more variables can come into play.
