Crash Bandicoot: Ranking Every N. Sane Trilogy Boss Battle

6. N. Brio - Crash Bandicoot

Though the cramped nature of the level hindered Pinstripe Potoroo a little, it definitely enhanced N. Brio. Fighting him in his lab, you have to avoid the bottles of chemicals being randomly tossed at you, as well as jumping on the goo monster that breaks out from them.

Boss battles on the lower end of this list have been accused of repetition that can make them a little flat. N. Brio though goes in a completely different direction, changing tact when his health bar is two thirds down. Instead of throwing potions at you, he drinks them and turns into a huge, deformed monster. By literally changing his form midway through, N. Brio is almost like two battles in one.

While almost everything in the N Sane Trilogy is lovingly recreated, one of the few tweaks was N. Brio's health bar. Originally, N. Brio had a giant, nine point health bar. In N Sane Trilogy, this is separated into a six point bar and three point bar, for before and after he hulks out and after. While Crash veterans will no doubt have remembered the story, it provided a great surprise for players whose first Crash experience was N Sane Trilogy.
