Ceaseless Discharge

When I first died to the Ceaseless Discharge, I thought something along the lines of €œF**k you, you flaming piece of s**t!€ Blissfully unaware was I of the true nature and story of this demon.

Ceaseless discharge is the only son of the Witch of Izalith. He was born with sores all over his body which ceaselessly discharge lava, meaning he lives in constant pain. His sisters did manage to fashion him a ring which eased his suffering (the Orange Charred Ring), but the clumsy clogs went and dropped it, which created the Centipede Demon (thanks a bunch). Aside from this already tough luck, Ceaseless Discharge€™s family is overwhelmed by tragedy as a result of his mother attempting to duplicate the first flame, but more on that later.

Remember the dead body containing the gold-hemmed black set? Up to a point, we guessed at the identity of those remains. It was generally assumed that it was the Witch of Izalith herself, or something similar. A developer interview then revealed that this body was in fact the remains of a daughter of chaos; it is one of Ceaseless Discharge€™s sisters, who is, so far as we know, nameless. In all his pain and suffering, he gets one small comfort out of life: watching over the remains of his sister.

Enter the heroic Chosen Undead.

Excited by the sight of shiny treasure, you run up to the body and strip it of its dignity. Bad move. Thanks to you, Ceaseless Discharge now gets no comfort out of life whatsoever, and has no hesitation in scorching and crushing you time and time again. The one redeeming quality of this story is that you eventually get to put him out of his misery (probably after dying many, many times).
