Dark Souls Remastered Wishlist: 10 Features Fans Need To See
1. Overhaul Lost Izilith
If you ask a Dark Souls player what the worst part of Dark Souls is, then everyone will say Lost Izilith. And if someone doesn't say Lost Izilith, they are kidding themselves.
Unfinished and unbelievably garish, the entire area is an amalgamation of unfulfilled ideas. Enemies are tossed into places where they don't fit, the areas are really plain and one dimensional and the boss is one of the most unfair pieces of trash the game has ever produced. It's just bad.
FromSoftware has openly stated that Lost Izilith was one of the levels they had to rush to conform to publisher deadlines, so imagine if they've went that extra mile and taken this opportunity to redesign the area and make it what they originally intended?
It's a big ask, but it would be an incredible precedent to set for other developers remastering their games. And not to mention it would finally make the late game content bearable.
At least tone down the lava textures... And get rid of the Bed of Chaos... And the Dragon Legs... Also, make it at least somewhat easier to save Siegmeyer... You know what? Just fix the entire level, please!
