Days Gone: 10 Exciting Gameplay Features You Need To Know About
3. Your Motorcycle Is A Means Of Transport AND A Mobile Base
While the last game to go all in on the biker/motorcyclist focus was the infamously-awful Ride to Hell, Days Gone looks to go far beyond simply just featuring a motorcycle that you can take wherever you go. Deacon's bike will ultimately bear a closer resemblance to the horses in Red Dead Redemption 2 in that they'll be a means of getting from A to B and a fully-mobile base of operations.
Now it's no substitute for a settlement or camp, but it will allow you to quickly access everything that you can't immediately carry on you at all times. This means excess weapons and key items are stored on it, available to you when needed. Unlike a horse though, this mobile base will need gas, and finding that necessary fuel can lead to tense, dangerous side ventures into hostile territory.
It's clear that the developers have worked to make Deacon's bike something of a lifeline for the player, but it's not infallible or OP. Many mutated beings can run at speed with it, so don't expect to automatically turn into The Flash when starting the engine.
Use it practically, stay smart, and ride cautiously into the danger.
