Days Gone: 10 Exciting Gameplay Features You Need To Know About
2. Six Hours Worth Of Cutscenes
Days Gone is not The Last of Us, but it sure has enough cutscenes to be mistaken for it. While the action and gameplay was the central focus through much of its promotional cycle, the central storyline has become increasingly highlighted over time.
This isn't just a game about fighting off hordes of the undead and surviving during the worst of times. DG is also about a society full of people trying to move on from the horrors of their past to fight for a better tomorrow.
Deacon's lost his wife, but upon finding out she may be still among the living, he's discovered a new sense of purpose, as well as a foundational reason behind continuing to fight for his life. This isn't the only plot thread to follow either as the Pacific Northwest is full of so many untold stories, each tragic and different in their own way.
Players will lose themselves in the beautifully-realised world that Bend Studio has created, but don't sleep on the story that lies at the core of Days Gone. Joel and Ellie aren't here to break your heart, but prepare for this game to do that on its own.
