One thing that the Ryder White DLC for Dead Island did was the advent of more interesting guns, and allowed the player access to a much more interesting arsenal than before. Granted, Dead Island has a penchant for melee combat, but there's a lot of validity to ploughing through the game with barrels blazing. And considering how weak the gun selection was in Dead Island, this can only be a good thing. Throw reality out the window; give us an armoury to blow zombies up with. Give us sniper rifles, uzis, sub-machine guns and any other kind of firearm you can think of. In a series that is as off the wall as Dead Island, the time to up the violence capacity is long overdue, and something that Yager has to be thinking about.
