Dead Island 2: 10 Past Mistakes It Must Fix

8. Better Artificial Intelligence

At a certain point in Dead Island - once the initial terror of being hunted by vicious flesh-eaters wears off - the zombies in Dead Island start to show the chinks in their armor. You begin to see them less as horrific creatures determined to murder you, and rather as silly little children that you are the care taker of. Sometimes, they just do stupid things and you have to give them a gentle nudge in the right direction. One thing that Yager should be focusing on in Dead Island 2 is fixing the readily apparent AI issues and make sure that the zombies never act out of context, for fear of breaking the illusion that we're about to be killed. It's something that would often creep up in the first game, and seeing zombies run into a wall as they tried to get at an enemy that wasn't even there, it greatly takes away from their aura. Please, Yager, stop us from laughing at these poor souls.
