While it was fun to see these unique characters come together, especially considering how different they all were, the thing that makes the most sense today is character creation. From Mass Effect to the Elder Scrolls, gamers are all about creating their own hero or villain now and being able to define their personality over time. Whether they choose to be a good guy or a bad guy, all of that remains up to the player. And in the zombie apocalypse, that is even more appealing. If you create your own survivor, the potential for greatness is heavily increased. Making your own choices about who to ally with, as well as what side of the fence you sit on, it's all prime zombie apocalypse material. In a world that is all about difficult choices, allowing the player to create their own hero or anti-hero to blast through this brutal new world with is infinitely exciting.
