Death Stranding Trailer Breakdown: 10 Things You Need To See

1. The Original Trailer Connection

The first trailer was largely considered to be full of symbolism for what the game would be, especially with the extraction from William Blake's "Auguries of Innocence" - which most people believe to be about the consequences of mankind abusing the environment.

However, a few parallels such as the strands, dead sea creatures, the oil, and the babies do indicate that it's more than symbolism.

Details from this new trailer may also show the gameplay themes of Death Stranding. Kojima has said in an interview with IGN at E3 that the game won't be played with "sticks" like a traditional shooter, saying "I want people to be connected not through sticks, but through what would be the equivalent of ropes… But of course you will be able to use the sticks too.”

It's possible that using your strand to connect to allies or companions could be a key part of the experience, shown in this new trailer by Mads Mikkelsen's character.

Who knows what the next Death Stranding trailer will bring, or when we'll see it, but until then I'll be digging up all the information I can, as will a large portion of the internet gaming community.
