Destiny 2: 10 Reasons To Be Excited For The Future
3. Improved Seasons
The Seasons system, introduced around the Forsaken expansion (or Year Two), was designed to add new activities and rewards at certain times beyond the usual yearly expansion packs.
More recently, beginning with Shadowkeep, fans haven't been so kind on the system as each subsequent Season removed activities tied to the previous one and continuity was somewhat lost along the way. That's in sharp contrast to Year Two's Forge's that can still be discovered today.
Bungie are looking to rectify that, along with the rewards tied to each season and how to claim certain armour sets, starting with Beyond Light later this year. To begin with, new activities will last beyond the end of a season again, allowing players to jump in at any time to take part and be rewarded for their efforts instead of having to log in only during smaller time frames. Existing seasonal activities such as the quests tied to returning hero Saint-14 or the Sundial will also return and stick around longer too.
Bungie have also confirmed that new armour sets and rewards won't always be tied to a seasonal activities, meaning more rewards for all players will appear out in the wild going forward.
